1. Can I use other colors and text as legend items?
Yes, it’s easy to customize the legend. Apply your own colors and text and translate them into any language. You can even use split colors. You can create a different legend for every calendar.
2. I bought the full version but haven’t receive a download link?
The plugin is sent to the e-mail address you used to pay with. It can take some time, but if you haven’t received it after 30 minutes, please contact us and tell us your order ID. We will send you the plugin.
3. How can I show a calendar in a post or on a page?
You can do this by clicking the ‘Add Calendar’ button that is displayed above the text editor when you edit a page or post. This button will generate a shortcode, based on your preferences.
4. I use the free version, can I upgrade to the Premium version without losing data?
Yes. You can install the Premium version without having to delete the free version. This gives you the time to apply your data to the Premium version.
5. What is a shortcode?
A shortcode of WP Simple Booking Calendar looks like this (without spaces between the [ and ].
When this shortcode is inserted into your page or post (in the admin panel) it will generate the calendar with ID ‘1’ on the front-end, with all the above settings applied.
You don’t have to write your own shortcode, there’s a generator for that. Simply click on the ‘Add Calendar’ button when you’re editing a page or post and a pop-up will open. You can choose between all settings there. Here’s the meaning of every setting from the shortcode as well:
id – (number)
The ID of the calendar, which can be found under WP Simple Booking Calendar > Calendars
title – (yes/no)
Show the calendar title (yes) or hide it (no)
legend – (yes/no)
Show the legend of the calendar (yes) or hide it (no)
dropdown – (yes/no)
Show the months dropdown (yes) or hide it (no)
start – (1/2/3/4/5/6/7)
The start day of the week, monday (1), tuesday (2) …and so on… sunday (7)
display – (1/2/3/…)
The number of months to show
language – (auto/en/fr/etc.)
The language of the calendar, ‘auto’ will detect the language automatically
month – (0/1/2/…/12)
The start month of the calendar, 0 means the current month, 1 means January, and so on
The start year of the calendar, 0 means the current year, 2017 means 2017, and so on
jump – (yes/no)
Switch all months to new ones (yes) or switch 1 month at a time (no) when clicking on the [>] button
history – (1/2/3)
Show all booking history (1), replace history with the default legend item (2) or grey-out (3) history
tooltip – (1/2/3)
Don’t show tooltips (1), show tooltips (2) or show tooltips with a red indicator (3)
theme – (classic/modern/flat)
